the 80s the 80s

In the 80s, there was a wave of artists that would come out with songs that changed the way music was played. Those musicians include Tally Heardle, Prince and Lionel Richie. The way they sounded and the way they wrote their music was all part of the wave that changed the music world.

Restless Heart and Exile

Restless Heart and Exile have been making a name for themselves in the music industry for a long time. They have sold over eight million records and have appeared over 100 times on the Grand Ole Opry. The band has three gold albums to their credit, and their tour is currently in full swing. In fact, the band has announced plans for a new album for 2013.

Restless Heart is a band comprised of five members. Lead singer Larry Stewart, drummer John Dittrich, bassist Paul Gregg, keyboardist Dave Innis, and guitarist Greg Jennings. Each member is unique in their own right, but their talents are combined into a formidable lineup.

One of the best ways to demonstrate that is with the aforementioned album. Several tracks hit the top ten. There was also an album that won eight Grammys.

Lionel Richie

One of the best-selling artists of all time, Lionel Richie has sold over 100 million records worldwide. He has received the Kennedy Center Honors and was nominated for two Golden Globe awards. His last album, Dancing on the Ceiling, produced five US hits. This year, Lionel Richie is taking his “All the Hits, All Night Long” tour to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

In 1982, Richie’s debut self-titled solo album reached the top three of the charts. The lead single, “All Night Long,” was a Caribbean-flavored dance number.

The video for the track has a total of 33.5 million views. The singer’s daughter, Nicole Richie, was legally adopted when she was nine years old. Her father was Richie’s band member.

Richie has also written songs for other artists. He worked with Diana Ross on “Missing You” and Kenny Rogers on “Lady”. During the early 1980s, Richie shifted from his R&B roots to a more commercial sound.

Prince

The 1980s were a great time for pop music. They were a golden age in music history, and they ruled popular culture in a way the 1990s never could. Not to mention they had some remarkably weird music.

One of the era’s more memorable songs is Prince’s “Batdance” which may not be the first song you think of when you think of the 80s, but it was the most successful and iconic. It features a mashup of hip hop, rock, and funk that is hard to beat.

Another fun song is Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical” which has a great song and interesting lyrics. A little odd, but still a good time. In the 80s, she was a sex icon and the biggest hit of the decade.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is a pop superstar who broke several records this year. She sold 80 million downloads and has seven Grammy Awards to her name. She also ranked number one in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, making her the first artist to reach this milestone three times.

When she was a child, Swift lived in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Her family moved to Nashville when she was fourteen. Later, she became a writer. While there, she studied in writers’ rooms. It was there that she developed a love for music.

In the 1980s, music was associated with movies and television shows. The genre grew and evolved. Eventually, it became the stadium genre. Pop music also tended to be charity-focused. Nevertheless, it’s still the most widely consumed form of music today.

Tally Heardle

Heardle is a browser-based game that lets you choose a song from a list of popular music tracks. If you get the right answer, you earn points and a chance to hear more of the track. It’s similar to Wordle, but it’s got a little more vintage flair. Rather than relying on words, players hear three seconds of a song.

The song of the day is chosen from a list of ten songs streamed the most in the last 10 years. Like other games in the genre, you get the chance to choose from a plethora of options. However, if you’re into 80s music, you’ll likely enjoy the Heardle 80s experience.

Another variant of the wordle is the footwork Heardle. Played on the Spotify site, this is a fun way to discover some new tunes. Basically, you listen to the intro to a track, and if you choose the right song, you’ll hear the rest of it. Unlike Wordle, however, you’ll be playing a different tune every day.
